Begging for Affection (Matriarchal Society)

There are only two destinies for men in this world:

Either stay at home as a dependent, under the thumb of their mothers, sisters, and nieces for their entire lives, or find a wife and offer her their whole heart and body in exchange for her affection and children.

Ruan Yun knew he couldn't bear a lonely life. To avoid bringing shame to his family, he declined his mother and sister's offer to let him stay at home and firmly decided to find a wife.

Just then, the imperial family held a consort selection, and he suddenly developed an ambitious desire: he wanted the most distinguished wife in all the world.

But with the monarch's three thousand beauties in the harem and every consort handsome, how could he win her favor?

Please note:

The male protagonist is one of the female protagonist's harem partners.

The setting is a matriarchal world where women can bear children, but the imperial family is an exception. A special fruit enables men to give birth, though only during pregnancy and childbirth. At all other times, they are ordinary men.
